Professional volleyball has arrived in America.
On April 16 and April 18, the two best teams in League One Volleyball will meet inside the LBS Financial Credit Union Pyramid in Long Beach, California, for the 2026 LOVB Championship. The format is a two-match series and if it goes the distance, a winner-take-all golden set to 15 will decide who lifts the trophy.
The championship will feature some of the most decorated volleyball players on the planet.
The LOVB Playoffs tipped off this weekend at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky, where the league's top four teams are battling through a three-day semifinal format. The matchups: No. 1 Houston vs. No. 4 Salt Lake, and No. 2 Atlanta vs. No. 3 Austin, the defending champion. Each semifinal is a two-match series with a decisive golden set if the teams split.
Two of these four teams will punch their ticket to LBS Financial Credit Union Pyramid in Long Beach.
For anyone in Southern California, this is especially significant: LOVB Los Angeles, the league's first expansion franchise, led by co-founder Alexis Ohanian, is set to debut in January 2027. That means the Championship at the Pyramid is the only chance to see top-tier LOVB talent on a court in LA this season. Consider it a preview of what's coming to your city.
The LBS Financial Credit Union Pyramid is one of the most iconic volleyball venues in the country. A true pyramid at 18 stories tall, it has hosted NCAA championship rounds, Olympic qualifiers, and decades of elite college volleyball. It's the right building for this moment.
